Good Vibrations has special guest instructors and role models
who have enriched our dance and artistic expression over the years.
We celebrate them on this page!
United States MEDance Masters:
Bert "Roman" Balladine
Bert is the Godfather of SF Bay Area belly dance and a cherished jewel
in the crown of SF dance theater! Read about the
North Beach MEDance Scene.
Najia El Mouzayen
Innovative and inspriring, Najia remains one of the most emulated MEDancers
ever to perform in the SF Bay Area. She transcends mere movement through
her deep understanding of Egyptian dance and culture.
Natica
Angilly, President of Artists Embassy International,
and Director
of the Poetic
Dance Theater Company
Natica is our Fairy Godmother of dance, and Tatseena's first teacher.
We are indebted to her for sharing her respect, love and pure joy for
the artistry of MEDance with Tatseena so she could pass her passion
on to us.
Malia DeFelice of Half Moon Bay
Malia's vast knowledge of dance ethnography and middle eastern music
make her both a superb dancer and instructor. Though she specializes in Tunisian
and other North African tribal styles, her Middle Eastern dances are infused with
her many years of Hawain and Flamenco study.
John
Compton of the Hahbi Ru
What an entertainer! We love John's frivolity and panash in his personal
performance and his ensemble staging. We also dig those really awesome
asuits!
Rhea
of Athens
Rhea has the most irresistable sense of dance humor and timing.
She hosts a fabulous party when she dances. Check her out and you'll see!
Dhyanis
Dhyanis offers dynamic design in dance and costume. She has also reincarnated a sultry...smoldering...Dance of the Seven Veils.
Delilah
Alive with Passion. Powerful Presence. Dancer of the Deep. There is
nothing else like Delilah.
Mary Ellen Donald - Drummer/Instructor
