A PROTEGE
This sexy, feature-thriller, inspired by an AC/DC song, is currently in
development.
FLESH
OF A WOMAN
This dance/musical script celebrating femine power, was born of my long
love affair with Middle Eastern Dance and Latin Culture. This is the second
script developed during my UCLA program with instructor Fred Rubin, and is designed
for a production budget below $2 million, music rights inclusive.
THE WATERSHED
WINNER
- 2003 UCLA Professional Screenwriting Competition - VARIETY MAGAZINE
This small-budget feature drama was an exercise in writing on demand after
a development exec at a pitch fest told me they were looking for a gritty,
coming-of-age script to showcase a young male actor with whom they had
a relationship. Later that night, I met the effervescent Lew Hunter, his
lovely wife and family at an event in his honor. He lured me to the UCLA
Professional Program where the script was developed under the guidance
of Deborah Baron and won the competition above.
SAINT LOUIS SARAH
This studio targeted feature thriller was inspired by my years spent in
the Laclede's Landing area of St. Louis beneath the Edes Bridge, the first
to span the Mississippi.
THE WRONG
A one-hour script that's gritty, indie/festival fare, so salacious and
taboo in its subject matter that the concept alone will generate publicity
for the filmmaker.
USE OF TIME
A short script for a student film project inspired by gender perspectives
as an amusing short that would meet the following criteria: fit on one
CD (6 min), shoot in one weekend, involve only two actors and three locations
(1 indoor/1 outdoor/ 1 vehicle) so the filmmaker would gain the experience
managing several sets of circumstances.
DANCE BETWEEN RAINDROPS
This is my first and most autobiographical script that SlamDance
Screenwriting Competition covered as, "...a touching bittersweet drama
with a Hollywood-friendly ending." Those words were very encouraging for
my first time around the block.
Please inquire about these scripts and all professional screenwriting
assignments with WRITER in the subject line to my
development email.
