MEN'S SUITS

This is my Grecian Waterfall bridal gown combining elements of several gowns by designers such as Badgley Mishka and Halston. The bride chose a rose-patterned, flocked chiffon, instead of lace, because she wanted to
float down the aisle. It was a delightful stroke of luck that the next day I happend upon a perfectly-matched $20 remnant of $200 a yard, embroidered lace to add texture to the bust and echo the pattern below.

Dress back with and without the GRECIAN GODDESS TRAIN

The bride wanted a detachable train, if there was to be one at all. She also wasn't planning to wear a veil, so any back attachments had to blend elegantly with the sleek dress design. The bride's striking beauty called to mind images of Greek figures frolicing on Jasperware urns, so I designed a train that rises above the waistline and hooks into small eyes embedded beneath decorative trim at the shoulders and empire waist.

Two fabulous looks are created by layering sheer chiffon over a shimmery rayon satin.

<-- Normal lighting glorifies the flowing, gossamer chiffon for an etherial bride. The drapy rayon satin paired with a silk underslip allows the bride to actually float down the aisle, rather than pretend to in a stiff dress.

Another benefit of rayon satin under chiffon is its highly reflective surface. Flash photography brings out the elegant satin sheen through the translucent chiffon for a glamours formal bride.-->

Over-beading with crystal bugle and seed beads hightens the texture and glimmer of the thick Reticella lace (<-- and profile shot above).

One layer of chiffon looks like two and shows off the bride's strappy shoes by triming the rayon underskirt in chiffon. -->

^One reason for a detachable train was the outdoor reception overlooking San Francisco Bay. In the end, she loved the train too much to take it off. She showed it off as a drape and boa all evening.

<--The bride and I selected the patterns and watercolor magnolia fabric to compliment the empire design of her gown.
Beaming Bride & Groom, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
